Specify the grade and the pricing unit

Separate bar diameters, sections, thicknesses and cut lengths into individual lines. Ask whether the quoted quantity and rate use actual weight, theoretical weight or pieces, and record the agreed tolerance. Include the project specification so an offered substitute can be reviewed before acceptance.

Check traceability at delivery

Request the agreed mill test certificate and match its heat or batch identification to the delivered material where applicable. Record shortages, damage and any grade or dimension discrepancy before accepting the consignment. A certificate must be checked against the order; its presence alone does not establish suitability.

Compare the complete delivered cost

Ask each supplier to state unit price, taxes, transport, unloading, lead time, quote validity and payment terms. Confirm quality documents and inspection arrangements before accepting an offer.

Orders record the agreement between buyer and supplier. Payments, credit and logistics are not automatically provided by InfraSetu.
